A brief resume of last year's (2023) outings

A visit to see the Light Show at Kew Gardens on 4th January 2023

This was thoroughly enjoyed by 40 of us (25 members and 15 guests).

In July, we had a trip to Northampton, followed by an afternoon at Althorp House. Unfortunately, the weather was not the best so our time in the gardens was limited but the house alone was well worth the visit.

A day trip to Windsor on 18th September 2023 incorporated

a visit to the castle and a boat trip on the Thames.

And lastly, there was a visit to St Albans Arena on Tuesday 19th December

to see Peter Pan starring Chris Gascoyne of Coronation Street fame.

Plans for outings this year (2024)

Monday 10th June - Kew Gardens

The coach will pickup at Hemel Park and Ride at 10.00am and at Hatfield

Galleria at 10.30am. We should be back by around 5.30-6.00pm depending on the traffic conditions.

We'll have the day at leisure in Kew Gardens where we can visit the

various greenhouses and see many exotic plants as well as the amazing

display of seasonal plants and flowers in the borders and beds. There is

also an impressive number of different species of trees from all over

the world, not forgetting the water gardens etc.

For refreshments there is a large cafe and restaurant but if the weather

is kind you might prefer to take a picnic to enjoy in the gardens.

If you require a wheelchair or motorised scooter/buggy, these are

available but need to be prebooked. Go to the Kew Gardens website and

you will find all of the information needed.

The cost for this trip which includes the coach and entrance fee

will be £30.00 for REASH members and £40.00 for guests.

If you would like to join us please pay the appropriate amount into the

REASH account by MONDAY 1st APRIL at the very latest as the coach

company can only hold the coach until 2nd April.

Please email Pauline (outings@reash.uk) to advise you have paid.

On 2nd September we have a boat trip  along the Grand Union Canal.

We will join the boat in Hemel Hempstead (make your own way there)

and enjoy a full afternoon on the canal, going through locks

and enjoying the scenery. A cream tea will be available.

The above outing is currently FULL

We have a waiting list if you want to register your interest
